Man killed in Lambeth hit-and-run

A man was killed in a hit-and-run after a collision in Lambeth last night.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10.50pm last night to Wandsworth Road following reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

A man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. 

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene and enquiries to trace it are ongoing.

An investigation is ongoing following the fatal collision. Road closures and a crime scene are in place.

Anyone with information, witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage are asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574 ref CAD 7741/20 Mar.
